A wide-ranging session between science administrative staffs was held for the first time on 6 May 2022 to discuss the latest changes in current laws, rules, and regulations in the science sector and to actively participate in their implementation.
In this session Dr. D.Zolboo, director of the Institute of International Studies, Dr. R.Turdalai, Academic Secretary, Dr. D.Bazardorj, Head, department of Chinese Studies, Dr. A.Nyamdoljin, Head, department of Russian Studies, Dr. A.Davaasuren, Head, department of Regional and Multilateral Cooperation, Dr. B.Serjav, Head, department of Third Neighbor Studies were fully participated. More than 150 people attended the session, including representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences with its 16 affiliated institutes, the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Social Insurance general office of Mongolia and other private organizations.
In the framework of the session, a total of 15 presentations were discussed under the four main areas, including Science policy, management, planning, legal environmental reform, human resource management and organizational management; Fiscal policy and legal reform in science; Research development policy; Innovation technology and integration of electronic information systems.
The President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, in his opening speech, instructed the institute directors and department heads to speak and collectively discuss the topics presented at the session.
In the afternoon section of the session, L.Gantulga, Chairman of the Board of the Mongolian Library Consortium, presented a report on “Journal Development, Operation, and Electronic Library Development.” He gratefully noted that the development of two journals by the Institute of International Studies and the Mongolian Library Consortium has been going successfully, and a database for the digital publications of another 5 scientific journals of the Academy of Sciences has been created so that the library catalogue of the institute is now fully digitized and entered into a search engine as well.
