On May 31, 2024, Prof. Li Kaisheng, vice president of Shanghai Institutes of International Studies (SIIS), alongside with his colleagues were received by the invitation of Ph.D Zolboo Dashnyam, director of Institute of International Studies (IIS), Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS), at Presidium’s Office of MAS.
During this visit, a roundtable meeting was organized commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and People’s Republic of China, the 30th anniversary of Agreement on Friendly Relations and Cooperation, and 10th anniversary of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, respectively.
The meeting was attended by Suvdantsetseg.B, head of Department of Administration Planning and International Cooperation of MAS, researchers from Institute of International Studies, Institute of Strategic Studies and Mongolian Institute of Northeast Asian Security and Strategy from Mongolia, and scholars from Center for Northeast Asian Studies, SIIS, from China.
After Ph.D Zolboo Dashnyam and Prof. Li Kaisheng have introduced their fellow representatives and research outcomes of their respective institutes, Suvdantsetseg.B made a brief introduction on works and activities of MAS.
The meeting was followed by two speeches including “Mongolia’s Foreign Policy and Relations of Mongolia and China”, by Ph.D Bazardorj.D, head of Department of Chinese Studies, IIS, and “China’s Foreign Policy and Relations of China and Mongolia”, by Zhou Shengsheng, researcher at Center for Northeast Asian Studies, SIIS.
At the end of the meeting, Ph.D Zolboo Dashnyam and Prof. Li Kaisheng have concluded the roundtable, discussing the possibilities on further collaborations.
