The President of Mongolia, Haltmaagiin
Battulga, issued a decree on January 24, 2019, No. 09, nationwide celebration
of the 150th anniversary since the birth of the 8th Bogd Gegeen Jebtsundamba
Khutuktu, the last Great Khan of the Mongols.
In Ulaanbaatar, on October 11-12, 2019,
International scientific conference themed Bogd Khaan 150: History, Culture,
and Heritage, which was held under the auspices of the President of Mongolia. Within
this celebration, the President's Office and the Ministry of Education,
Culture, Science have together with the Mongolian Academy of Sciences,
Institute of International Relations, Institute of History and Ethnology,
Institute of Philosophy, Institute of Language and Literature and the Bogd
Khan’s Museum organized an international scientific conference themed
"Bogd Khan-150: History, Culture and Heritage" at the State Palace. In this conference under the auspices of the
President of Mongolia, total of 33 scientists and researchers from Mongolian,
Russia, China, Japan, Germany, Hungary and Poland will be presented and
discussed about their researches on broad topics on Mongolia in 20th century
and Bogd Khan including the history, culture, religion, art and literature of
Mongolia in the early 20th century; the life of Bogd Khan, politicians,
religious activists; and the state figures, Government of Mongolia, and its
activities, internal and external policies.
