With the aims of presenting and discussing the results as well as achievements of latest research studies among researchers, the “Science Day” has been an annual tradition for the last few years, and co-organized by the Institute of International Studies, the Institute of Philosophy, and the Institute of Geography and Geoecology of Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) in cooperation with the Joint Institute for the University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia.
This year, the event was held on November 12, exclusively on the occasion of the centennial anniversary of the establishment of the modern scientific organization in Mongolia and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Mongolian Academy of Sciences.
Dr. D.Zolboo, Director of the Institute of International Studies of MAS, Police Colonel, Prof. Dr. B. Bat-Erdene, Director of Joint Research Institute of the University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia, Prof. Dr. B.Purevsuren, Director of the Institute of Philosophy of MAS, Dr. A.Dashtseren, Director of the Institute of Geography and Geoecology of MAS, Dr. P.Battogtokh, Joint Research Institute of the University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia, and the Academic secretaries of above-mentioned institutes, research fellows, faculties, scholars took part in this event.
According to the event program, presentations and discussions were held on various interesting topics, including “China’s new five year plan and its economic policy changes” by Dr. M.Erdenebayar, research fellow, Department of Chinese studies of the Institute of International Studies, “Spatial database, storage and updating of the national geographical name of Mongolia” by Dr. B.Sainbuyan, Head of the Department of Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, the Institute of Geography and Geoecology of MAS, “Analysis of the situation of corruption in the political sphere of Mongolia” by Dr. O. Khatanbold, Head of the Political and Legal Department of the Institute of Philosophy and “From the findings in a research on Mongolians in the Czech Republic” by J.Batjargal and D.Nomuunerdene, research fellows, Department of Sociology and Social Psychology, the Institute of Philosophy of MAS.
Furthermore, the participants exchanged views on the possibility of expanding cooperation with the University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia in the future, in line with their research guidelines and objectives, and implementing joint research and projects.
Also during the event, researchers from the Institute of International Studies, the Institute of Philosophy, and the Institute of Geography and Geoecology of Mongolian Academy of Sciences organized their scientific work exhibition, presenting major achievements on their studies in 2021 and introduced the activities of the institute to the faculties and scholars of the University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia.
